Dental Crowns & Bridges in Clarksville

Crowns and bridges are dental restorations that are used to repair severely damaged teeth or to replace lost teeth. Restoring these teeth is essential for a number of reasons. For one, having strong and healthy teeth is crucial for regular tasks like chewing food and speaking clearly. People with teeth that are damaged or missing and experience major challenges when faced with these tasks. Perhaps even more important is the role that teeth play in a person’s appearance and self-confidence.

Crowns

A crown is a dental restoration designed to restore or replace a single tooth. If the crown is being used to repair a damaged tooth, it will “cap” the remaining structure to restore its appearance. If it is replacing a lost tooth, then it will be installed on top of a dental implant that is inserted into the jawbone. Crowns can also be used to help support dental bridges when needed. Regardless of the application, we work to ensure that all of our dental crowns are of the highest quality. Patients who receive crowns from our practice can rest assured that their restoration will appear remarkably natural and function just like a healthy tooth.

Bridges

Dental bridges are used to replace one or more missing teeth in an in-line sequence. This restoration consists of multiple parts. The main portion consists of the replacement teeth in the center that “bridge” the gap created by the missing teeth. At each end of the bridge is a single dental crown placed on healthy teeth to provide support and strength for the bridge. In this instance, these two crowns are referred to as abutments. A bridge may also receive additional support in the form of implants or some other framework. Each component is designed to appear as natural as possible and help the bridge remain steady and secure at all times.

Sango Family Dentistry offers crowns and bridges built from porcelain. This material is very highly regarded for its natural look and excellent performance. In order to receive this restoration, a patient can expect to make a minimum of two visits to our practice. This is because we must first take impressions of the patient’s teeth so that a custom restoration can be built in a dental laboratory. The patient will return for a follow-up visit once their crown or bridge is ready to have it installed and fitted.

Same-Day Crowns

For patients who prefer a timelier restoration, we also offer same-day CEREC crowns. The CEREC technology is revolutionary for its ability to provide custom, clean-fitting restorations in just one visit. The process when providing a CEREC crown involves taking digital photographs of the patient’s teeth. We then upload these images to a computer and use computer-aided design (CAD) technology to create a custom restoration. The design is then transferred to an in-office CEREC milling machine to create a restoration in a matter of minutes. The custom CEREC crown will then be applied during the same visit.

My experience was phenomenal. Dr. Anderson and the whole staff is amazing and treats everyone with the upmost respect. I absolutely hate being numb, but I didn’t feel a thing. It’s been two days since my procedure and my smile is back and I am feeling amazing. This team truly knows how to make you feel at home.

I have finally found the dentist that I enjoy.... Well no one truly enjoys going to the dentist, but this place is so welcoming. My dental assistant is always so sweet, and Dr. Brim is very comforting during my uncomfortable visits. :)
