Dental Implants in Clarksville

Providing an effective tooth-replacement option is extremely important for anyone suffering from tooth loss. Dental implants are considered the gold standard when it comes to replacing lost teeth. These ingenious devices can be used to support everything from a single dental crown to complete dentures. Dental implants also help replacement teeth feel more natural by serving the same purpose as tooth roots and serving as a strong anchor for the new teeth. We wholeheartedly recommend dental implants for many patients who are experiencing tooth loss.

Dental implants are medical-grade titanium screw-like structures that are surgically inserted into the jawbone or applied over the jawbone’s surface. Our practice offers both endosteal and subperiosteal implants, and the type that is recommended will depend on the needs of the patient. Both implant variations work to keep replacement teeth steady and secure at all times, even when the user is talking or chewing. With their strong performance and great versatility, dental implants truly serve as one of the best tooth-replacement options available.

What are dental implants?

Dental implants are titanium metal screw-like structures that act as replacement tooth roots and are used to support prosthetic teeth. They are inserted into the jawbone or installed over the jawbone’s surface. Each implant includes a supporting post that is designed to secure a crown, bridge or dentures.

How are dental implants used?

Dental implants are used to support artificial teeth when a person experiences tooth loss. By receiving strong support from the jawbone, the replacement teeth are kept steady and secure at all times.

What are the advantages of dental implants?

The primary advantage of dental implants is that they provide the best way to keep prosthetic teeth steady and secure. Dental implants also allow replacement teeth to feel natural since they perform the same functions as natural tooth roots. Finally, dental implants help prevent the bone deterioration that comes with tooth loss.

What are endosteal implants?

An endosteal implant is a titanium structure that is inserted into the user’s jawbone. The implant then secures a supporting post that keeps a dental restoration in place. Endosteal implants are the most popular dental implants available, and they have helped countless people overcome tooth loss.

What are subperiosteal implants?

A subperiosteal implant is a titanium metal structure that is installed under the gums but over the surface of the jawbone. This differs from an endosteal implant, as a subperiosteal implant will not actually enter the jawbone. This implant is often best used when the jawbone is too weak to support conventional endosteal implants. These implants can support crowns, bridges and dentures as needed.

Just Wow! What an awesome friendly staff! They were all so kind and easy to talk to on the first visit. The office is decorated nicely and they have lots of machines I've never seen before which is nice to see a place trying to stay up to date with technology. And they have TVs which is a bonus. It's refreshing to see an entire staff with a positive attitude.

Sango Family Dentistry is by far the best experience I have had when having dental work done. From the greeting at the front desk to the completion of the work, everyone was helpful and pleasant. The doctor was gentle when he was working on my teeth, and even checked on me later that evening to make sure I was okay. Highly recommend!
